Turkey’s location in an earthquake zone requires that earthquake resistance be a primary priority in the Harmony Park project, as in every construction project. Harmony Park, brought to life by Kamuran Akbay Group of Companies, not only offers aesthetic and comfortable living spaces, but also extremely safe, robust and earthquake-resistant structures.
Contributions of the Scientific Committee
This project is taking shape under the guidance of a scientific committee of experts in their fields. Each of these experts, who are respected academics in their fields, are conducting critical analyses to ensure that Harmony Park offers solid and safe structures.- Prof. Ayfer Gedikli contributes to the realization of long-term sustainable development goals in the project with her expertise in the fields of economics and development.
- Prof. Dr. Seyfettin Erdoğan provides strategic consultancy in ensuring the economic sustainability of Harmony Park with his deep knowledge of macroeconomics and sustainable development.
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkan Çoruk is an expert in geological engineering, ground surveys and rock-soil mechanics. In order to ensure the geological safety of the residential areas in the project, he conducts ground analyses and provides in-depth consultancy on the suitability for construction and underground safety. In this way, the risks originating from the ground are minimized in the project and safe construction is achieved.

Geological Safety and Earthquake Resistance
The ground surveys in the Harmony Park project were carried out with great care. These studies, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkan Çoruk, ensure that the ground properties are examined in detail and that the structures are safely founded. Prof. Dr. Hamit Haluk Selim’s expertise in earthquake-resistant structural design is one of the greatest assurances of this project.
